Beata Koniarska, member of the Management Board of PGZ Stocznia Wojenna, today donated an acoustic booth on behalf of the shipyard to the Daily Psychiatric Rehabilitation Ward for Children and Youth in Gdynia. In this way, we supported a fundraiser organized by the Foundation for Supporting Children and Families.
The cabin will create a safe space for children requiring specialist mental health support. It will enable young patients to participate in online lessons—which they take in parallel with therapy—in silence, concentration, and comfort. The device combines light, sound, and touch therapy to support the healing process.
The ward is located directly opposite the facility, in the building of the former company school of the Navy Shipyard, the legal predecessor of PGZ Stocznia Wojenna. This connection is particularly important and binding for us. For years, the facility has played a significant role in the healthcare system for the youngest residents of Gdynia, offering free, interdisciplinary psychological, psychiatric, and therapeutic assistance financed by the National Health Fund.
Since 1926, the Shipyard has been an integral part of Gdynia. This historical bond obliges us to actively participate in the life of the local community. We do not shut ourselves within the walls of the plant, supporting sports, cultural, and health-promoting initiatives. We understand that the responsibility of the company goes beyond the execution of defense contracts.
A huge thank you to the ward team for their daily work with young patients. Your commitment and professionalism deserve the highest recognition.
The ceremony was attended by representatives of the Shipyard’s Management Board and Marek Marzec, Human Resources Director, who accepted thanks for the support on behalf of the staff.
