Breakthrough in Polish marine rescue

The Polish Navy is entering a new era of marine rescue. PGZ Stocznia Wojenna has secured a contract with PGZ (Polish Armaments Group) and Ośrodek Badawczo-Rozwojowy Centrum Techniki Morskiej (Marine Technology Centre Research and Development Centre) to build one of the most modern rescue vessels in the Baltic Sea region. The rescue ship Ratownik, which will replace the long-deserted ORP Piast and ORP Lech vessels, will not only be larger than its predecessors, but above all equipped with state-of-the-art technology.

The construction of the Ratownik is further evidence of PGZ Stocznia Wojenna’s growing competence in the execution of advanced ship projects. Using the experience gained from the construction of Miecznik frigates, we will provide the Polish Navy with a vessel that meets the highest world standards.
