Today, the second edition of Defence24 Day, a conference organized by Defence24, takes place in Warsaw. During this event many important declarations regarding the technical modernization of the Polish Armed Forces were made. The President of PGZ Stocznia Wojenna Management Board also participates in the conference. During the opening speech, the Minister of Defence announced that a draft law was prepared on the establishment of the Armaments Agency, which is to improve the process of acquiring military equipment for the Polish Armed Forces.
In turn, the Head of the National Security Bureau declared that the National Security Bureau would propose a bill which would provide for permanent funds for the Polish Navy modernization. These funds would go largely to the Polish shipbuilding sector. The project is currently under consultancy process with the Ministry of Defence.
Maciej Małecki, Secretary of State in the Ministry of State Assets, focused in his speech on the evolution of the offer of the Polish Armaments Group, which is to be best adapted to the needs of the Polish Armed Forces. For this purpose, among others, numerous R&D projects are about to be launched.
The conference is held under the honorary patronage of the Ministry of Defence, the Ministry of State Assets and the National Security Bureau, and the event’s partner is Polish Armament Group.
