The Innovation and Technology Development Forum is a cyclical event organised by the Polish Armaments Group. The event aims to promote cooperation between entities from the defence, scientific and business sectors. The Forum is an opportunity to present the latest technological achievements, exchange experiences and establish contacts. The 13th edition of the Forum took place on 5 – 6 October in Gdynia and was hosted by PGZ Stocznia Wojenna.
The Forum brought together nearly 70 participants, including representatives of the Ministry of National Defence, the Polish Development Fund, the Warsaw University of Technology, and representatives of PGZ SA Capital Group companies. Among the topics discussed at the event were R&D projects at the European Defence Agency, R&D projects financed by the European Defence Fund, initiatives implemented as part of NATO’s North Atlantic Alliance, IDA Bootcamp – business acceleration of innovative technologies with dual-use potential. Also presented were the technological areas of cooperation between the PGZ Group and the Warsaw University of Technology and the development of the PGZ Group’s Hardware-In-The Loop (HWIL) Laboratory.
As host of the 13th edition of the Forum, PGZ Stocznia Wojenna also had the opportunity to present a number of management and production innovations implemented in connection with the Miecznik Programme – the construction of three frigates for the Polish Navy. The two-day meeting concluded with a visit to the Shipyard, during which participants were able to see the progress of the construction of two halls and the installation of several ultra-modern machines on which the first sections of the first of the three Miecznik frigates, the future ORP Wicher, are being built.
