A modern shipyard needs qualified specialists. That is why we invest in education and develop cooperation with technical schools.
PGZ Stocznia Wojenna has taken patronage over classes at the Refrigeration and Electronics School Complex in Gdynia. The agreement, signed by Marcin Ryngwelski and Beata Koniarska from our Management Board and by the school’s director Dorota Kotwicka, covers students of technical fields – electricians, electronics engineers, mechatronics engineers, and refrigeration and air conditioning specialists. These are professions that directly respond to the needs of the modern shipbuilding industry.
As part of the partnership, students gain access to:
• professional internships at the Shipyard;
• study visits showing the reality of work in a modern shipyard;
• substantive support in the form of demonstration lessons and mentoring;
• employment prospects for the best graduates.
Yesterday, we continued this initiative by participating in a meeting of the Gdynia Economic Dialogue Council devoted to industry education. During the panel discussion “Modern shipyard – tradition, technology, and people. Who are we looking for to join our teams?”, we will present our expectations for future employees and opportunities for professional development in the maritime industry.
Cooperation with education is an investment in the technical competence of the region and Poland’s maritime security. Only by combining theoretical knowledge with industrial practice can we train specialists ready to work on the construction of modern ships.
